I have done studies of 10's of thousands of matches and about 100,000 games (10 million rolls) using the default built in Mersenne Twister algorithm. The data for player X and O are within statistical norms for winning opening rolls.

There was an issue in a 2009 release of GNUBG that impacted getting rolls from http://www.random.org that caused unusual rolls, but that was fixed long ago. It didn't affect any of the other random number generators.

What dice generator are you using (settings menu/options/dice/random number generator)

What version of GNUBG (Help menu/about/build info button).

GNUBG also supports dice entered manually by the user.
