Hi,

I have written a test file Test-206-failure.py (attached below) to create the scenario as specified by the reporter of this bug. This test proves that the above bug cannot be reproduced and is invalid.

Hello, I tried to reproduce the bug with the following steps but was unsuccessful. ->
wget -c http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-oauth-v2-22 -d // You can substitute the url with any other url

Before 100% completion stop the download. Now check the contents of the file.

Run the above command again and this time wait till full download is complete. You will observe that wget resumes the download and also that the server has sent response 200 OK. After complete file has downloaded check its contents for repeated start bits.
You will find that there is no repeated info in the file.
Hence this proves that the bug is invalid.

If you are using wget -c and have a partial file already downloaded,
if the server responds with a 200 OK instead of a 206 Partial Content
- meaning the server now starts sending from the start of the file
again and doesn't support a 206, wget will actually take the starting
bytes coming in and apply them to the middle of the file!

What it should do is see the 200 OK and know that the 206 failed and
just start the file over again (and hope the download finishes).
