Sun 19 Apr 2020 07:43:28 AM UTC, comment #4: TeXmacs do not work well yet with Guile 2, this seems to be the source of the problem. You have usually to install Guile 1.8. I close this bug, since seems to be due to a wrong building setup.

But for the moment, no debug symbol is available, but the maintainer is already informed how to build a package with debug symbols: you can see that there is a pull request: https://build.opensuse.org/project/requests/home:DenisRx:TeXmacs |

Mon 04 Nov 2019 06:49:40 PM UTC, comment #1: You can have a try to run with '-d' parameter to catch more debug infos. Moreover, I believe that later developers will offer debug symbols so that you can load TeXmacs with gdb to see exactly where the code crashes. |

Thanks for the response. Recently I installed from a .deb without problems in a fresh install of Budgie 18.04, so it clearly was a problem with the dependencies. Sorry for not providing more detailed information on this bug.
