A new pre-release fixed this problem:
https://github.com/ltfat/ltfat/releases/tag/2.3.1

I believe the maintainers don´t follow this bug-tracker website, so, I don´t know how to close it...

Fixing ltfat package is one thing but ...

... perhaps should the pkg command also be improved, so that the package update continues with the next package, even if a package fails to install.

What do you think to the "Severity" to a higher one, because this bug block the update of others packages?

marking as confirmed.

if you dont need ltfat, but want tio run update, you can uninstall ltfat before running the update command.

I get same error!

Could it be that this errors prevents installation of other packages (higher in alphabetical order), when using "pkg update" command?

If yes please provide an update!
