Linux 4.14 supports Zstd as compression algorithm for btrfs. Unfortunately GRUB doesn't support this configuration, meaning that is not possible to have a Zstd compressed root without a separate /boot partition.

GRUB has gained support for Zstd-compressed Btrfs file systems in 2.04. It was added in commit "386128648 btrfs: Add zstd support to grub btrfs".
Could a maintainer please close this issue?
