It appears that the FF57+ version of LibreJS (the alpha version that is available on addons.mozilla.org) does not do anything.

Last weekend, I have installed LibreJS 7.11 in Firefox 58.0.  It is enabled all the time.  Websites that are known to have non-free JavaScript like github.com and youtube.com just work.

LibreJS is a very user-friendly plug-in that does not annoy the user :-)
