Corresponding source code
When chainloading a .efi binary, it cannot use SIMPLE_FILESYSTEM_PROTOCOL because it is unsupported (UEFI error code 3).
When booting the .efi binary without GRUB, it works.
An example is the HashTool.efi from the efitools package, which tries to read key files.
