I recently upgraded one of my Win10 boxes to the Creators update and tried again.
I cannot reproduce this issue with the 4.2.1 w64 installer and a 4.3.0+ (Qt5) build.

Closing with "Works for me"

Hey, thanks for all the info.
It's not a pressing issue for me - just wanted to let you all know that I encountered such problem.

On my boxes (Win7 & Win10 both 64bit) + Octave-4.2.1 / 4.3.0+ (both NSIS installer types) it also works fine. Even in the terminal Ctrl-C works with Qt5 builds on Win10 (older build 10240). But see this message:
http://octave.1599824.n4.nabble.com/MXE-Ctrl-C-Ctrl-V-Ctrl-X-in-GUI-editor-amp-terminal-built-with-Qt5-tt4682986.html

I'm afraid (but not 100 % sure) it's a Win10 update/upgrade issue. But I'm reluctant to let Win10 upgrade my boxes, I'll wait a few months until dust has settled down and we know what functionality/HW got broken by Win10 silent upgrade policies and what to do about it.

Just to add, I have win7, 64bit with octave 4.2.1, 64 bit, zip installer, and do not see any copy paste issues like the bug describes.

Thanks for quick answer.

So the only difference is that your Win10 has been updated recently. I suppose that's what broke Octave's Ctrl-C behavior.
(it shows I didn't defer updates for nothing)

There's nothing I can do ATM, sorry.

Windows version: Windows 10 Pro (v 10.0.14393, Build 14393)
From "About Octave": configured for x86_64-w64-mingw32

This works fine for me with Octave-4.2.1 for w64 (64-bit version) on Win10 Professional, see attached pic.

My Windows 10 build# = 10240 - could be older than current as I have set "defer updates".

What Windows 10 version / build no. and what Octave version (32 or 64 bit) do you have?
