I pushed a change, which may or may not have fixed the problem.

Please check.

Your system is doing something wierd.

Can you apply the attached patch, run that syntax and send me the stdout.

Thanks

Originally I thought this was an endianess error.  But now I look closer it is seeking into the file one byte behind where it should.

  • Is this a 64 bit machine?
  • Are any tests in make check failing?

The syntax:

GET DATA
/TYPE=ODS
/FILE='c:\users\beheerder\Downloads\test.ods'
/READNAMES=ON

still produces the same error.

Can we fix one bug at a time.

Does the Syntax example you originally posted now work?  or does it give the same problem? or a different problem?

See the attached .png file for a screendump of my screen when I use the wizard in MSWindows.
I wonder if this works by any MSWindows user.

Strange enough it works on openSUSE except that I get an error message in the wizard but the file is read.

On MSWindows it seems as if the original compressed file is delivered to the wizard. Maybe the same happens on  the command line. Is it possible that some kind of zip is necessary and that this is not checked during compilation?

I wonder why this issue is not filed by lot of users. Maybe because it is something which is usually installed but not on my clean test environment?

I used the master of yesterday for my test on MSWindows. I will test with openSUSE later today.

I cannot reproduce this problem.

Can you try again with the latest from master?

Thanks.

When I read the attached ods file with the syntax:
GET DATA
                  /TYPE=ODS
                 /FILE='c:\users\beheerder\Downloads\test.ods'
                 /READNAMES=ON
                 .

I get the error:

error: Cannot open c:\users\beheerder\Downloads\test.ods as a OpenDocument
file: Corrupt file at 0x2225: Expected 6054b50; got 54b506c
