OK.  In that case, I'll downgrade this bug and retitle it.

Sure, it's just a lot of work to isolate the bug and write a good report, and half the time when I do that it turns out that the bug was already fixed in a later version.

This doesn't appear to be a PSPP bug, that's all.

I don't understand.

Why can't we do anything about it?  Is it because of a leak in the cairo library?  If so we should report it as a bug to the cairo developers.

I don't think there's anything we can do about these.

John, I think this is fixed now.  If you're happy, will you close the bug?

I reran "make check-valgrind" on current master (commit e9052f56eeb924971e44a9d49ad1aaa0394dc9ff).

These tests look at first glance to report a leak in ONEWAY: 0274 0498 0499 0500 0500 0500 0501 0502 0503 0504 0504 0505 0506 0507 0508 0509 0510 0511 0512

These tests look at first glance to report a leak in the cairo library (or possibly a usage error): 0934 0949 0950 0951 0952 0953 0954 0955 0956 0957 0958 0959 0960 0961 0962 0963 0964 0965 0966 0967 0968 0969 0970 0971 0972 0973 0974 0975 0976 0977 0978 0979 0980 0981 0982 0983 0984 0985 0986 0987 0988 0989 0990 0991 0993

I found one bug, in tower-test, and fixed it.

make check-valgrind shows that numerous tests are leaking memory.
These need to be investigated before release.
