Given lack of interest of the OP and the amount of work needed (redesigning the icons) just to match one particular color scheme, I'm closing this.

I am not able to compile the resources right now, but I will inform you if I can.

The undo redo icons are working well (in the first toolbar) for both dark and light themes because of the dark borders outside, when it is dark you don't see the borders but just the light interior and when you use a light theme you see the dark borders. Wouldn't it be possible to use similar icons for the rest, e.g., dark interior and light borders or opposite; especially for the ones in the second and third toolbars (mode and focus toolbars I suppose)?

I committed a small tweak which should fix the problem with the foreground color of input boxes. You'd have to download the sources from SVN and compile them, though. If you do, please report here.

The problem with the icons can only be partially solved for those which are rendered dynamically (like in drop down lists of mathematical symbols) but the rest are images, so I don't know if it's worth the effort.

I am currently using Texmacs version 1.0.7.15 in KDE version 4.9.3. I recently switched to a dark color scheme in kde and it turned out that Texmacs is having problems with dark colors in KDE. Specifically, the toolbars of Texmacs (icons) stay with black color and it is somewhat difficult to read. Additionally, input boxes of texmacs are not properly showing the text I am typing, showing whitish text on white colored text boxes.
