Yes, that seems to be the best way to go.   I believe I spoke to someone about this a while back.   Nothing in Camaelon should ever change how the classes are encoded or their view hierarchy.

Sorry for the troubles, GSBrowserMatrix is a class specific to Camaelon. I surely created this gorm file with Camaelon enabled. Now that I use Gorm with Camaelon turned off, this nil class exception arises.
It would probably be better to get rid of all these subclasses in Camaelon and only used categories to patch AppKit drawing.

Thanks,
Quentin.

Nevertheless Gorm shouldn't be left in an inconsistent state if a class is not present in the .gorm file.   This is the only one I've seen this happen with, but I will fix this asap.

It is failing because it's referencing a class called "GSBrowserMatrix" which I'm not aware of in any release of GNUstep ever.

I'll take a look at this.  Thanks. GC

Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy) x86
GCC 4.2.3
back, gui, gorm: r26686

The gorm file in attachment gives me a nil class exception when it gets loaded in an app or opened in Gorm.

With my previous Gorm version (svn from around one or two months ago), this gorm file worked fine.

As a side note, Gorm is an unusable state after having shown the exception dialog: 'New Application' just creates an empty window and not a new Gorm document. Since Gorm seems to catch the exception, I think it should either recover gracefully or tell the user it's better to quit.
