does not disable a menu item
menuitem.Visible = false;
doe not hide the menu item.
Both of these work in M$
In M$ in the test app, pressing the button toggles the visibility of Test2 and Test5, and toggles the selectability of Test7 and Test9.
In dotgnu, the button has no effect at all.
