If you would like me to look at it, you need to answer the questions that were asked previously. All of these can be obtained by giving the full output from he cd-info program on the created CD and the full output from the cd-drive program. Please use release 0.72 as that gives the information that is needed and prior versions don't.

I don't know what the latest Nero is and probably don't own it either whatever it is. So one other thing is needed before I can do any sort of investigation: run cd-info --debug 3 name-of-Nero-image.img and attach that output

To test burn CD-R in ISO (and exceed 82 min) in latest Nero, this will then be regcognized as a DVD with no content. Same also when burning as ISO/UDF.

More information is needed before anything will probably be done. In particular the platform/driver is needed.

lf libcdio reported this as a DVD what kind of DVD?

libcdio determines DVD-ness using the SCSI-MMC DVD READ STRUCTURE command. So it's likely that the "bug" is that on your OS this is indicating a DVD where there is none or perhaps Nero is doing something odd.

And what does cd-info think the Nero disc image is?

Overburned Data-CD's are seen as DVD's by libcdio.
Yuo can test by overburning a ISO data CD in Nero.
