Hello,

I have a problem with screen when I use the -c launch option:

-c file
override the default configuration file from "$HOME/.screenrc" to file.

My issue seems to be with afs. I have a workarea where my $HOME is set to /afs/… and if I run the -c command in this place as follows, I got the issue of unable to open file:

# On local
(%:~)- ssh server
# On server
# Here ~ is on /afs
(%:~)- cp .screenrc /tmp/wsfreund
(%:~)- screen -ls
No Sockets found in /var/run/screen/S-wsfreund.
(%:~)- screen -S test_using_afs -c .screenrc
# Type C-a C-d
[detached]
(%:~)- screen -S test_not_using_afs -c /tmp/wsfreund/.screenrc
# Type C-a C-d
[detached]
(%:~)- screen -ls
There are screens on:
14789.test_not_using_afs (Detached)
14144.test_using_afs (Detached)
2 Sockets in /var/run/screen/S-wsfreund.
(%:~)- exit
# On local
(%:~)~ ssh server
# On server
(%:~)- screen -r test_not_using_afs
# Type C-a C-d
[detached]
(%:~)- screen -r test_using_afs
Unable to open ".screenrc".
(%:~)- screen -ls
There is a screen on:
14789.test_not_using_afs (Detached)
1 Socket in /var/run/screen/S-wsfreund.

So, when I use the file on afs it is unable to re-attach to screen and destroys it, while the screenrc copied to /tmp/wsfreund is recovered without any troubles.
