How long is your "long line"? I can't reproduce it with a serialized 100x100 matrix (length 179931 characters).

When I enter a long line for example for a big matrix as soon as i reach the maximum number of characters, wich seems to be quite low anyway, the line break does not bring me to the next line but overwrites the same line i entered before.
