30_os-prober.in just uses whatever comes from linux-boot-prober and linux-boot-prober is not maintained by us but by debian-boot team

solution found. Seems it is rather arch specific.

"Known issue with known workaround: add the following to /etc/default/grub

# fix broken grub.cfg gen
GRUB_DISABLE_SUBMENU=y  "

I stumbled over a problem with grub-mkconfig. My System:

uname -a:

Linux [HOSTNAME] 3.12.5-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Dec 12 12:57:31 CET 2013 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Grub version:
grub-1:2.00.1282.g5ae5c54-1

My Error output:

[HOSTNAME] grub.d # grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Generating grub configuration file ...

you can find my
/etc/default/grub   and the created
