Do you have an alternate location to obtain this code from?

The Mathworks forbids using code from Matlab File Exchange in Octave.

I was trying to run the following matlab script:

http://www.mathworks.de/matlabcentral/fileexchange/35355-stability-chart

(The script needs to be unpacked, after that just enter "StabilityChart;" in octave)

The problem is that the execution using octave takes a very long time; it is slower than matlab by a factor of at least 100.
The profiling shows that the lion share of the execution time is being spent in the _go_line_ function.

The execution time decreased to something comparable to matlab once I removed all of the plot commands from the script.

I would appreciate it if you could look into this problem :)
