This bug is not really related to the side tools, but rather a bug concerning the input widgets: for the moment, such widgets do not admit exactly the same functionality as normal TeXmacs widgets (e.g. they do not have menus and such).  For the moment, it is pretty easy to segfault TeXmacs from inside an input widget.

Additionally, after the same two first steps, try:

  • (open widget6)
  • Right clicking on the input widget of each window in succession.

Right clicks seem not to set focus to the widget under the cursor, thus resulting in the context menu being placed in the wrong window.

Further, closing the new window will crash.

  • Compile with side_tools_on = true.
  • Set a texmacs-input widget as the texmacs-side-tools widget.
  • Type something in a buffer and close without saving.
  • Crash.

There seems to be some problem with the current_view being wrong in a delayed command.
