Mon 04 Dec 2006 07:38:04 PM UTC, comment #4: The gv-gs-hidden-param.patch indeed works, but it first requires this patch to be reversed (which in addition to breaking the -dFIXEDMEDIA patch, seems to cause saved parameters in the .gv file, like GV.watchFile, to be ignored):

Thu 13 Apr 2006 07:41:43 PM UTC, comment #3: Thanks for the bug report. I am not an official maintainer, but gv is my by far most used postscript previewer - in fact, the same bug can be triggered with usual postscript files, too.

Wed 12 Apr 2006 12:25:23 AM UTC, comment #2: This patch causes gv to show a completely blank page from some postscript documents, see: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121849

Added gv-3.6.1-landscape.patch, #2241 |
Beginning with GNU ghostscript 8.62.0, the bug in ghostscript has been fixed. Therefore the parameter "-g2x2" is not needed any more (but does usually no bad).
However, with GPL Ghostscript, that parameter is still needed and therefore I will leave it enabled by default.
