Not a code bug, but version 5.3.1 of oSIP is not tagged in Git. There is a commit that updates the version number to 5.3.1, but unlike previous releases, the commit message does not contain "release 5.x.x". Instead it says "release [CVE-2022-41550 fixed]". However, there is a 5.3.1 tar.gz archive that can be downloaded, so my understanding is that version 5.3.1 actually is released.

Does putting "release x.x.x" in the commit message trigger automatic tagging that failed here because the commit message has a different format?
