Thank you Joris for this feedback.

I didn't mean to sound critical, I'm sorry if it sounds like this. Obviously, TeXmacs can't handle everything LateX can do. The .tex import/export is in my opinion already very very good.

However, this whish to partially support the latex beamer class is, I think, certainly shared by many other users or could broaden the growing user base with a simplified import / export of beamer slides.

All the more easily since the edition of this type of document (slides) is where TeXmacs could shine even more with its WYSIWYG paradigm versus the classic compilation cycle of .tex -> pdf.

Anyway, many thanks for this awesome software !
François

We did not extend the LaTeX converters to handle beamer styles.
So this is not really a bug, but rather a "wish".

Please don't forget to set the 'Item Group' field when submitting a bug report ('Error') or wish ('Wishlist').

Hello,

TeXmacs is really amazing when importing .tex files.
I’ve imported “classic” class files flawlessly.

The Latex beamer class seems a bit more tricky with each :

\begin{frame}

\end{frame}

Note that TeXmacs is smart enough to do what it is supposed to do: make a frame (i.e a box).

The expected behavior is to make a slide.

See attached screenshot for an illustration.

Many thanks, TeXmacs is an awesome piece of software.
