Currently, hitting backspace while the cursor is in an empty denominator makes the cursor jump to the numerator. I feel that the fraction should instead be erased and replaced with its numerator (surrounding it with parentheses if appropriate, which might be non-trivial).
This would be more in line with what happens when hitting backspace while in an empty square root.
The current behavior when hitting backspace while in an empty numerator feels correct to me (no one want the denominator to be transformed into a multiplicative factor).
