Confirmed on linux also. I am bisecting manually: currently, GOOD 25522, BAD 25580.

Confirmed on Linux. Also, the graphics toolkit does not matter; I tried qt, fltk, and gnuplot.

This suggests it is not in the rendererer, but in the graphics property subsystem which is shared by all three toolkits.

confirmed (on Win7).

I only got it with annotation. "Regular" plots work fine.
