Thank you. I have pushed the proposed changes http://hg.code.sf.net/p/octave/image/rev/e16222631f06 which wil be part of the next patch release.

When running the unit tests of the image package (v. 2.6.1 with Octave 4.2.1) on an i386 system, there are some failures [*] due to floating point internal representation problems. For the Debian package, I am now applying the patch attached to this bug report.

Please, consider applying it to the upstream sources or try to identify the source of the problem, if any.
