Yeah, this was a small project that got interrupted.

I'm still not sure if I'm doing this well.  I only saw one application program that used the 'aalt' table, but I'm not sure of what belongs here, for example, what is acceptable as a base character.

I deleted an experiment whereby all variants of each Latin letter would be displayed.  I need to write a script to make that work.

I also deleted the 'ornm' table.  Again, I don't have a good feeling for what belongs here, and there are thousands of characters in FreeFont that might be regarded as "ornaments".

Let me know if I've failed to address the main technical issue.

In FreeSerif, some glyphs have multiple 'aalt' lookups, such as ⟨!⟩, but only one lookup can apply, so not all the intended alternative glyphs are accessible.
