Yeah, I just deleted the table, which had just the one entry, which caused this one funny case, which maybe affected only non-Oriya syllables.

Thing is, I had a nagging memory of fussing with this at some point. I had made a special lookup for it. I'm sure it was something from the original font from which the glyphs were taken. But I can't find any record corroborating it, and besides, it just looks wrong. Good enough.

I acknowledge that the letter looks different from its form in other fonts. I remember puzzling over this, and concluding that it was right, however. I'm still looking through my notes, which are unfortunately rather scattered.

In my 2012 notes on the range, I state that "nu has a special form, and it's not always working".

A very good reference, which I think I found only after working on the range, is the orman.ps file in the Oriya-TeX package.

In FreeSerif, ⟨ନ୍⟩ is missing its top curve. The solution is to delete the glyph ori_no.haln and the table "'haln' no+halant form in Oriya".
