Vote #1 — integrate the old cookie prompt into the next ESR, and then develop it further. I have several good ideas wrt some of the ways on how to move it forward (but lack the required programming skills).

Restoring the cookie prompt is an important privacy feature, will bring more users to IceCat, and if implemented, will continue the tradition started by Mozilla Application Suite.

An add-on is not a good idea, because people not familiar with it would have to find it.

For future releases of IceCat, regarding the <38.8 cookie prompt, should we:

1. Wait until we can integrate the old cookie prompt into the new ESR code before a release
2. Allow this feature to be removed and recommend a free addon
