yes, I think it may not just be easier, but sometimes essential - it seems that sometimes the "sweet spot" is actually inaccessible. Another workaround is to close and re-open the file.

This problem of dragging the separator of two frames can happen trying to drag open the Movement Properties in the Score and Movement Properties editor. In that case operating the scroll bars in the Score Properties can make the divider draggable. Let's hope more recent versions of Gtk have fixed this.

Sometimes it is almost easier to add a new lyric verse and then delete it!
