Thank you for pointing this out.

I will add the "(old term)" tag to the current GIT and add GNUIT for the next release.

V.E.R.A. currently shows the definition of "GIT" as
"GNU Interactive Tools (GNU)".

The term "GIT" is almost universally understood to refer to
the Git distributed version control system. The GNU Interactive
Tools are now referred to as "GNUIT".

The origin of the name "Git" itself is ambiguous; see
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Git_(software)
for discussion.

I would suggest that "Git" itself would be an appropriate
entry for V.E.R.A. The problem is that "Git" does not appear
to be primarily an acronym. I suggest that V.E.R.A. should not
limit itself to acronyms; it could cover things that are, or appear
to be, acronyms, initialisms, or other abbreviations.
