To reproduce, run 'src/nano --ignore NEWS'.  Then type:

^W  ahahaha  <Enter>
^W  aha  <Enter>
^W  <Up>  <Up>

Huh?  Only the "aha" string is there, not "ahahaha".

Bug is old: it exists since nano-2.2.2 -- in version 2.2.1 it works fine.
