When nano is started with the -t option, it will still prompt for a file name when typing ^O. Pico does not do this: on both ^O and ^X it will simply write out the file. Nano does this only for ^X. |

Corresponding source code
Patch was mostly reverted in 5489, because it makes it impossible to exit from nano when one wants to discard the changes one made.
Also, if the user wants a single-keystroke save, she can bind the function 'savefile', so there is no real need in nano for --tempfile to work also for ^O.
