Hi all,

I have finished my update of philosophy/words-to-avoid.pt-br.po. I have also reviewed the text (attached and available on our Git repository). Also, messages have been sent to our team's mailing list. So far, two people have said they would like to help, and one of them has agreed to assist with a further review of words-to-avoid.

In addition, I found some time to create a new page for our team [0]. It is far from perfect, but I hope it will provide contributors in potential with a better starting point.

I will shortly start working on one of the other out-of-date translations.

Regards,
Rafael

Hello,

In December 2014 and January 2015, all the old Brazilian Portuguese translations in important directories have been GNUNified by the web-translators team, to make updating easier. Most of the corresponding HTML pages have been regenerated with an out-of-date notice, and some even turned out up-to-date.

However, 3 of the POs are really obsolete, with more than half of the messages either untranslated or fuzzy. They were not committed to CVS to avoid regenerating grossly outdated pages which would look like recent translations; this is why they are attached to this message. They are :
  licenses/gpl-faq.pt-br.po
  licenses/license-list.pt-br.po
  philosophy/words-to-avoid.pt-br.po.

Our wish for 2015 is that the Brazilian Portuguese team would resume activity and take up the job where we left off. Note that several Wikipedia articles have links to license-list.html or gpl-faq.html, and that right now the MultiViews system presents the readers who have a preference for Portuguese with obsolete pages.

Kind regards,
Therese, on behalf of web-translators
