traverse-right works just fine with regular parenthesis. It only has problems with stretchable (large) parenthesis.

traverse-left does not have any problems with either.

In TeXmacs 1.99.1 traverse-right (Ctrl- ->) does not seem to work:
Type in Math mode:

f (x)=3

Place the cursor to the left of the letter f, and press the right
cursor key while pressing the control key, and it won't go. Further,
if inside the parenthesis, it will go left; not right.

traverse-left seems to work just fine.
