I was wrong about a one-liner in LilyPond
I have pushed a fix - it will stop on any DenemoDirective and also a timesig change. I also fixed the editing by right click.

I think there is a much simpler way to set multi-measure rests on the entire movement with one LilyPond command, which will make the current command much less important.
If someone looks it up in the LilyPond docs I can quickly add it to Denemo - something like \compressMultiMeasureRests placed somewhere in the output.

Grouping whole-measure rests into multi-measure rests should stop at a rehearsal mark to allow the mark to appear at the correct place, currently it is being disregarded.
