This test is the wrong place to test this issue, so I have modified the input file accordingly.

Doing a test that test for nodes differing only in case, which may be linked to CASE_INSENSITIVE_FILENAMES testing is not that important and certainly too much work for a low return. It is in the tp/TODO file now, but I am not sure it will be done anytime soon.

To skip the test: how about creating a file foo.html, and then seeing if FOO.HTML exists?

The problematic files:
and Index.html.

Maybe the test itself (if it isn't skipped) has to create the expected Index.html. Not ideal, but we should allow checking out the source even on deficient filesystems :(.

Looking in more details, maybe this could be tested elsewhere, but the issue would still remain once a new test has been done, focused on nodes different only by case..

That is not easy to do, the interest of the test is that indeed the files are differing only by the case. So it is moreor less a feature of the test. Maybe what would be more interesting would be to skip the test if on a case-insensitive system. I don't know exactly how to detect that, though.

About the error with the checkout, I don't really understand which file is causing the error.

The test...

# Failed test 'sample_utf8 converted file_html'
# at ../tp/t/test_utils.pl line 970.
# No Index.html in t/results/converters_tests/sample_utf8/out_html
# No index.html in ./t/results/converters_tests/sample_utf8/res_html
not ok 740 - sample_utf8 converted file_html
FAIL: t/converters_tests.t 740 - sample_utf8 converted file_html

fails on darwin because it is crafted requiring a case-sensitive filesystem which isn't the default on darwin. Like wise it is impossible to check out the texinfo 5.0 svn on a standard HFS volume due to the error...

A texinfo_5_0/texinfo/tp/t/results/converters_tests/sample_utf8/res_html/Second-Chapter-AE-AE-ae-ae.html
svn: In directory 'texinfo_5_0/texinfo/tp/t/results/converters_tests/sample_utf8/res_html'
svn: Can't open file 'texinfo_5_0/texinfo/tp/t/results/converters_tests/sample_utf8/res_html/.svn/tmp/text-base/index.html.svn-base': No such file or directory

This test should be re-factored to not require Index.html and index.html so that it can be performed on non-case-sensitive filesystems.
