This is what I get from a simple urlwrite:

octave:1> urlwrite ("ftp://ftp.octave.org/pub/README", tmpnam) ;
error: urlwrite: curl: No error
octave:2>

I find that confusing since no error actually occurred, and would expect no output at all.
