Under Solaris 11, with Qt 4.7.4 from http://sfe.opencsw.org, and after some tweaking to get TeXmacs to compile (using GNU gcc 4.5.2, not solaris' compiler), the minibuffer works as expected and can be edited with emacs mode on. However, the key to exit it is Escape, not Ctrl+g as in emacs. I'm not sure it's worth the effort to change this, however. Especially since exiting the minibuffer is not a scheme command so it's not subject to user customization.

The bug reported by Joris is now fixed. I'm trying to test whether the solution to it also fixes the problems under Solaris 11.

It is present in 1.0.7.14, using Qt 4.7.3.  And as before,  Ctrl-g doesn't quit/exit when you've typed something in the footer/minibuffer.

Is this bug fixed on Linux?  I saw other people on the mailing list say that they have problems with Qt key bindings.

Is this bug still present? I would need to install OpenSolaris to test it which I wouldn't do if not strictly necessary.

Cannot edit the minibuffer/footer line on Solaris, at least with Emacs key bindings.

Also, Ctrl+g (quit) doesn't work.  I am using Qt 4.6.3.

With interactive questions on footer enabled,
and when trying to change the borders of various cells
in a table to various different widths (say 1ln, 2ln, 4ln, ...),
it is impossible to enter new widths as soon as the history
contains at least one element.

Notice that Kostas also had problems with footer input under Solaris.
