Fixed in revision 7922. A better way to clean up the tmp directory remains to be implemented under Windows.

With Qt we have QCoreApplication::applicationPid(), which will hopefully work under windows.

We should use subdirectories named after the process id.
If someone has the courage to implement that (notice that
it should also work under Windows).

examination of source shows that this is done on entry, not on exit

It is NOT a good thing for texmacs to blindly trash all of .TeXmacs/system/tmp on exit.

It's wrong for texmacs to assume that only one session will be running at a time when it also takes no steps to make sure that only one process will be running at a time.

I have long-running texmacs sessions and also simultaneous short-running texmacs sessions under Makefiles to do batch conversions from .tm or .tmml to other formats.

Once the batch conversion has quit, it trashes my .TeXmacs/system/tmp which ruins some image rendering in my long-running texmacs session.

Maybe each process can have a subdirectory named after it's process id?
