This must be fixed now, since I've looked over recent testsuite reports on Mac OS from Jeremy Lavergne and this did not show up.

This problem also manifests itself on GNU/Linux when running under valgrind. 

I don't think that 0.001 in a point probability is something we
need to worry about.  We should use our "inexactify" test mechanism to accept either value.
