I don't know what "launching the program in the process of opening a file" actually does.  I suspect that it runs PSPPIRE with the file name on the command line.  If that's the case, then this is fixed on the "master" branch.  On that assumption, I'm closing this bug report.

In PSPP 6.1, launching the program in the process of opening a file only displays PSPP with nothing loaded; it doesn't display the information of the file. Opening files from inside after PSPP has been opened still works fine.

If this has been fixed in 6.2, please close this bug report.
