when dput is used to upload packages which have been compiled, it uploads the binaries too.

it would be good to modify dput to discard the binaries and only upload the source.

This is different to just uploading the source anyway, since this requires the package to be built before upload. There would need to be an overide mechanism (--with-bins?) incase it /was/ a required feature.

apparently dput has a modular design. perhaps this could be an optional (gns) module, not hacked in directly.
