OK, now work fine.

I finally found the reason for this problem. We were using a local copy of the string when fixing the text attachments of the text storage. This could get out of sync with the actual string.
None of this could have happened when our RTF loading code wouldn't have added wrong attributes and characters :-(

Please test again.

With your eyample I could reproduce the problem and solve the issue of the disappearing images. Here somehow the handling of the file wrapper must have changed and a different place and this code was not adopted. Now with the image handling slightly altered things look right for me.

What I could also see, but not resolve are the missing characters at the end of the file. They get parsed correctly and set in the text storage of the text view. Later they are gone. No idea where this is happening, maybe in the layout process?

Attached one help file of fisicalab. With the stable release of GNUstep the help panel show this file correctly.

Now I will need your example RTFD file to reproduce the problem here. The problem I fixed was the most common one I knew about. If this doesn't help you, your issue must be different and an example file is surely the best way to demonstrate it.
Could you please attach a zipped RTFD file with this issue to this bug report?

The problem continues. There isn't change.

I just committed a small change to the RTF consumer that allows it to better read RTF files that are saved in the mac encoding. It wont help for any of the other cases though. Maybe this is enough for you.

Ink can't load properly the RTFD files. The images aren't loaded and some text isn't show. But you can write RTFD files without problem.
