sysconfdir='${prefix}/etc/denemo' appears in config.log so I guess this is fixed

running 'configure --prefix=$HOME/bin/denemo' leaves sysconfdir as /etc, where it should be $HOME/bin/denemo/etc

I'm guessing that this is due to the configure script's override on line 19630 (yikes) that explicitly clears $prefix, but I didn't trace the script's execution.

The following worked, but seems like it shouldn't have been needed:
./configure --prefix=/home/dave/bin/denemo  --sysconfdir=/home/dave/bin/denemo/etc &&  make
