Sat 24 May 2008 09:51:54 PM UTC, comment #5: Just tested with branch, my version of cairo (filename libcairo.so.2.17.3, not reported by gnash --version)
does indeed render the asteroids, but they tend to disappear (like if alpha keeps reducing).
Also, the XO (player subject) isn't rendered correctly.
AGG renders all fine.
Sat 24 May 2008 03:42:01 PM UTC, comment #4: Tested on branch with Cairo, AGG and OpenGL; the rendering of asteroids appears identical with all renderers.

Confirm fixed for me, also with a local copy
(to be sure hasn't changed)
NOTE: cairo renderer is broken here AFAICT
Sat 24 May 2008 12:16:41 PM UTC, comment #2: Seems fixed with AGG.
Tue 13 Nov 2007 08:33:53 AM UTC, comment #1: Previous report was with AGG, with cairo there's no asteroid visible at all, and the spaceship itself is rendered horribly (was good with AGG).

The asteroids are rendred as open paths, and sometime
not visible at all. It seems the asteroids are drawn
by definition tags (no drawing api), possibly using
morphs.
