If people need an easy way to build Debian packages from the upstream sources, they can checkout the `debian/' directory from Debian's Subversion server and put that one into the GNU Mach cvs tree.

Isn't it standard practice not to include debian dirs in upstream tarballs?  What's the issue with just removing this?  Thanks.

What exactly are you aiming at with that comment?

I'm well aware -- as anyone else is, I hope -- that this is not a code-wise Mach bug, but it's a packaging bug, one way or the other.
