It appears that this is because we get the do macro defined for Scheme, which doesn't quite work, probably because it ends up expanding using an inconsistent mix of Scheme and Common Lisp forms.

Wed 29 Jun 2005 03:37:05 PM UTC, original submission:

> java -jar kawa-1.7.90.jar

#|kawa:1|# (do ((i 2 (+ i 1))) ((> i 5) 'done) (format #t "~A ~A~%" i (* i i)))
2 4
3 9
4 16
5 25
#|kawa:2|# (exit)
Process java exited with code 0

The same command should run in Common Lisp but the result is:

> java -jar kawa-1.7.90.jar --clisp

#|kawa:1|# (do ((i 2 (+ i 1))) ((> i 5) 'done) (format #t "~A ~A~%" i (* i i)))
